OUR PROJECTS

At R.E.B. Welding we take pride in delivering high-quality metalwork for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Below is a selection of completed projects and current work-in-progress that showcases our workmanship, reliability, and capabilities.

GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED – SCULPTURES WE WORKED ON (1998–2000)

R.E.B. Welding was proud to be part of the engineering teams behind three of the most memorable centerpiece sculptures ever created for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Our work involved fabricating and welding the internal steel structures that supported these iconic installations — each one featuring full-size vehicles mounted high in the air on complex metal frameworks.

1998 – Porsche 50th Anniversary Sculpture

Theme: Celebrating 50 years of Porsche.
This dramatic installation featured five legendary Porsche Le Mans cars mounted on towering steel spikes in front of Goodwood House.
R.E.B. Welding helped fabricate the internal metalwork that supported each vehicle at extreme angles, ensuring structural strength while keeping the sculpture visually clean and gravity-defying.

1999 – Audi “AVUS Track” Sculpture

Theme: Honouring Audi’s 90th anniversary with a tribute to the banked AVUS racing circuit.
This design used sweeping horizontal lines to represent movement, speed, and the famous AVUS track.
The sculpture displayed an Auto Union Type C Streamliner and the futuristic Audi Avus concept car, balanced high above the crowd.
We worked on the steel framework and support structure, enabling the layered, lightweight design to safely carry real vehicles.

2000 – Jaguar “Cat’s Cradle” Sculpture

Theme: Marking Jaguar’s entry into Formula 1.
The 2000 centerpiece featured multiple full-size Jaguars suspended in a tensioned, web-like structure — known as the “cat’s cradle.”
R.E.B. Welding contributed to creating the supporting steel frames and tension points, ensuring each car could be displayed dramatically above the lawn with perfect balance and stability.

Carbon Filter Fabrication – Multiple Units

Project Type: Fabrication

Sector: Industrial / Environmental

Project Summary

REB Welding has completed the fabrication of multiple carbon filter housings for various industrial clients. Each unit was manufactured to client-supplied drawings and built to withstand demanding filtration environments, ensuring reliability and long service life.

Scope of Work

  • Repeated fabrication of carbon filter bodies using high-grade steel

  • Precision cutting, rolling, and forming for consistent unit quality

  • TIG/MIG welding to achieve airtight and pressure-rated seams

  • Fabrication of flanges, access ports, nozzles, and mounting fixtures

  • Dimensional checks and quality control on every unit

Telehandler Bucket Repair & Refurbishment

Project Type: Repair & Refurbishment

Sector: Industrial / Agricultural / Construction

Project Summary

REB Welding has carried out the repair and refurbishment of multiple telehandler buckets for contractors, plant hire firms, and agricultural clients. Each bucket was restored to full working condition through structural repairs, strengthening, and replacement of worn components, ensuring reliability, extended lifespan, and safe daily operation.

Scope of Work

  • Repair of cracks, damaged seams, and fatigued weld joints

  • Straightening and rebuilding distorted bucket edges and sides

  • Installation of new cutting edges (welded or bolt-on)

  • Fabrication and replacement of wear plates and wear strips

  • Refurbishment or repair of quick-hitch brackets and mounting points

  • Dimensional checks and quality control to ensure proper fit and strength
